Village of East Palestine
Pride. Tradition. Progress.
On February 3, 2023, a Norfolk Southern freight train derailed in the Village of East Palestine. This disaster has undeniably changed the town forever, but its people are resilient and determined to rebuild their community. The Village of East Palestine has engaged WRL Advertising to collaborate on a comprehensive, multipoint media awareness campaign to share positive stories of the environmental remediation progress being made and help the community and local businesses with economic recovery.
Telling the story of resilience and recovery
Branding defines and differentiates you from others. More than just a logo – your brand encompasses your value, identity, voice, reputation and image. WRL worked with the Village of East Palestine to rebrand, giving the village an opportunity for a fresh start and a new outlook that pays homage to the history and traditions of the town, while setting the stage for its future growth and redevelopment initiatives. The goal is to attract new residents, new businesses, and consumers back to town.
The new logo is a hand-illustrated depiction of some of its most recognizable buildings, in an elegant navy and gold color palette. The new tagline, Pride. Tradition. Progress. is representative of the community’s strength and resilience, its rich heritage and strong roots, and its aspirations for creating a better future.
